Fieldwork’s commitment to its ESG goals has gone from strength to strength this year. Our ESG auditing partner Omnevue has recently completed their 2023 report, and we are pleased with the progress we made this year.
As a business we are constantly looking at ways to improve our sustainability credentials and it was great to see that we scored above our benchmark overall for environmental initiatives. We used only 6% of our benchmarked water consumption, and our CO2 emissions were only 5% of the benchmark (a figure based on industry averages).
Additionally, we focused on investing in our employees and making sure that Fieldwork remains one of the top places to work in robotics. Fieldwork’s salaries increased by 22% on average last year, and we employed four extra team members to reflect our increasing workload. We pride ourselves on our flat hierarchy structure, and consequently have an executive salary gap which is half the industry benchmark.
Finally, our governance has remained strong. We place great value on the importance of operating ethically and honestly, and to reflect this we have a whistleblowing policy and a record of no tax interventions.
We were pleased to collaborate with Omnevue on this report, a partnership facilitated by impact-investor Elbow Beach Capital.
